Patio Room Extension

A post and beam structure provides an open-walled patio room with big beams and jointed rafters allowing an elegant means of attaching a glass roof, providing an extension of the house, connection with the garden and an extended outdoor season to this house in Clontarf, Co Dublin. We worked closely with the client, a former carpenter himself, to create a beautiful and efficient structure which was fun to build and highly functional as an extra room outside. A fireplace and chimney were built as well as an area to barbeque which was later added to the post and beam structure.
