We are a creative and skilled people, and yet the skills necessary to design post and beams frames are exceptionally rare here in Ireland. We have helped aspiring Timber Framers realise their dreams by providing structural design and practical training. We also can provide site visits and oversee the assembly of your project. Your end of life or windblown trees can be transformed into unique sculpted features. If you have a tree on your property that needs to be removed we can give it a second life and allow it to remain part of your life for years to come, now in a bespoke art form.
We will manage the whole process, from tree felling and removal, to project design and build, before returning your transformed tree back to its home.
Grace Design are passionate about Natural Building. We have experience using frames in combination with both straw bale and hemp walls. Our frames and these lightweight, highly-efficient wall materials have made perfect partners. This combination utilises the strength of a frame and its ability to fully support the roof. If you are considering an eco-build or self-build, we urge you to consider incorporating a Traditional Frame.
Project Certification
As well as creating a beautiful decorative feature, trusses and frames can also be utilised as a key structural element of a building, holding up the roof structure. In order to achieve this, the truss or frame must be certified to the high standards of current regulations. Grace Design partners with experienced consultant engineer to ensure that our work always adheres to industry regulations.
